Seamless Tub to Shower Conversions in Branford & Guilford, CT

Swap an Unused, High-Walled Tub for a Modern Walk-In Shower

If you find yourself constantly stepping over a high, slippery bathtub wall just to take a quick morning shower, you are dealing with a layout that simply doesn’t fit your life. Many historic shoreline properties and family homes throughout Branford and Guilford were built with standard combination tub-showers. Over time, as routines accelerate or mobility needs change, that high tub rim stops being a utility and starts being a daily safety hazard and a magnet for stubborn soap scum.

At We Improve For You, we specialize in removing the headache of outdated layouts. Run by a local team combining Joseph Thomas Jr.’s operational focus (Quinnipiac University) with his father’s 40 years of direct contracting mastery, we have turned tub-to-shower conversion into a fine art. We replace your high-walled tub with a spacious, low-maintenance walk-in shower designed around how you actually live.

The Hidden Mechanics behind a Long-Lasting Layout Swap

Converting a bathtub into a dedicated shower stall is much more than a cosmetic swap. It requires converting a standard 1.5-inch tub drain line into a high-capacity 2-inch shower drain system, precisely shoring up the subfloor, and building water defense layers that protect your home’s integrity. In Connecticut’s changing seasonal climate, cutting corners behind the wall leads to hidden framing rot.

Our factory-certified installation teams approach your conversion with absolute mechanical precision:

• Shoring Up the Subfloor Base: Once the heavy cast iron or worn fiberglass tub is removed, we inspect and reinforce the underlying structural framing to guarantee your new shower floor sits completely level.

• Advanced Shield Material Technology: We utilize premium, non-porous composites that carry a lifetime guarantee. Because mold, mildew, and hard water minerals cannot latch onto the surface, your cleaning routine becomes a fast, chemical-free wipe down.

• Flawless Water Containment: Our custom-molded bases and interlocking wall surrounds channel water immediately to the drain, completely isolating moisture from your drywall and flooring.

Tailor Your New Walk-In Shower Around Your Lifestyle

We design your conversion to harmonize beautifully with your home’s interior aesthetic while amplifying physical safety:

• Ultra-Low Threshold Profiles: Open up your bathroom’s traffic flow with clean, modern step-ins that completely eliminate clumsy balance checks.

• Custom Shelving & Built-In Niches: Wave goodbye to rusted hanging shower caddies. We integrate clean, multi-tiered storage compartments right into your structural wall surrounds.

• Luxury Hardware Updates: Personalize your routine with premium modern fixtures, including calming rainfall showerheads, handheld slider arrays, or targeted therapeutic body jets.

• Multi-Generational Accessibility: Seamlessly incorporate beautifully finished structural support grab bars and sturdy built-in seating benches to maximize daily independence without looking clinical.

Upgrade Your Space with Honest, Local Family Values

You shouldn’t have to navigate high-pressure corporate sales scripts or open-ended contractor estimates. As a family-owned Connecticut business, we offer fixed, down-to-the-penny quotes alongside flexible financing structures starting as low as $113 per month.
